Explore the amazing medium of Fine Silver Metal Clay. Waynesville, Ohio, artist Trish Jeffers-Zeh, shares her knowledge at a special reduced rate to show support for Springs Gallery and the Yellow Springs arts community.
Come learn the dance of working with fine silver clay by creating a simple domed pendant using stamps and molds for textural designs. Experience the simplicity of Metal Clay. It fires with a torch or in a kiln for 30 minutes.
The workshop fee is $50, payable with advance registration. A separate material and supply fee of $40 is payable to the instructor at the class. This fee includes 10 grams of silver clay, use of tools, use of silver syringe and paste, and supplies for firing and finishing. Everything is provided to complete the pendant; all you need to do is add a chain. Additional clay, stones, leather cords and supplies will be available for purchase in class. Bring magnifying glasses if you need them to see small detail work.
Registrations for the workshop are now being accepted. Forms are available in Springs Gallery and on the gallery site. Minimum participant age is 12. Minimum class size is 6. On the day of the class, students must present a paid receipt to participate. The deadline for cancellations with refund is the Sunday of the week before the workshop.
