YSAC Opening Reception Friday 6-9 p.m.

The Yellow Springs Arts Council presents LIZARDS IN LOVE AND OTHER ILLUSTRATIONS OF ANIMAL INTIMACY by Debra Wilburn. Wilburn’s work is a laugh-out-loud collection of pen and ink drawings and quips portraying the vagaries of love and romance. The exhibit also includes a collection by guest artist Tony Powers entitled, THE WALLS ARE SCREAMING, which explore synesthesia, the neurological interaction between sight and sound. Power’s pieces depict synesthetic images that the artist has actually seen, or rather, heard.
A Third Friday Fling Opening Reception will be held on Friday, June 17, 6- 9 p.m. at the YSAC Gallery, 309 Xenia Avenue. Extended gallery hours are: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9. Call (937) 767-2837 for more information or to schedule a private viewing.
