Carr-Hamilton house renovations attract many admirers

The Yellow Springs Historical Society held a very successful fundraiser Sunday afternoon at the newly renovated Carr-Hamilton property at the corner of Herman Street and Xenia Avenue. Five hundred plus visitors came to see the house that has undergone a dramatic restoration and renovation process in the past two years. Through the generosity of family members and current owners Ken and Betheen Struewing and Mike and Fran DeWine, the Yellow Springs Historical Society was given permission to hold the open house with a $5 suggested donation to benefit the ongoing work of the Historical Society.
