Underdog Cafe’s open mic night to showcase writings from childhood
Yellow Springs, OH - October 23, 2009 - The Underdog Cafe hosts a bi-monthly spoken arts revue and open mic night called the Wham Bam.
The next event will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2009, from 6–8 p.m. It will take place at Emporium Wines and the Underdog Cafe on 233 Xenia Ave (Route 68) in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Its theme will be “stuff you wrote when you were a kid.” Anyone who would like to participate is invited to read short stories, poems, diary entries, letters, or anything else from their childhood or adolescence. To sign up to read, show up early or e-mail Vanessa Query at vanessa@emporiumwines.com.
If you do not wish to share, you are still welcome to join us for an entertaining evening of poignancy, honesty, and embarrassing laughter for our inner children and ourselves!
The open mic following this event will be on Thursday, January 7, 2010.
