My husband bought me an iphone last year and I went bonkers taking pictures and decided to join Instagram. I was astonished at the amount of amazing photography, and was delighted to see so many of Yellow Springs. Instagram is a social media platform with
300 million members sharing images from around the world. As the company describes it Instagram is a place that is "home for visual storytelling" and this is certainly true of our exhibit.
For those unfamiliar with hashtag # it "functions as a beacon in order for users to find images of interest." Thanks go to Amy Hable for coming up with the ysgram hashtag so viewers/locals could group and see all the Yellow Springs images in one place.

Amy Hable - I practiced photography as a child and teenager, with a film camera, focusing on black and white and what I could do with that in the darkroom. Camera eventually broke and I had to stop. Found some joy working in one hour photo labs and at Life Touch. Bought an iPhone a year ago and discovered I could take pictures and edit in a whole new way. No plans on stopping.
