Fourth Annual Members’ Art Exhibition January 10 – 30, 2010

The Glen Helen Association is hosting their Fourth Annual Members’ Art Exhibition from January 1 to January 30, 2010. Show hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays in the Glen Helen Building located at 405 Corry Street in Yellow Springs. Admission is free. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Sunday, January 1oth from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The exhibition is a unique opportunity to see the creative talent of Glen Helen’s many supporters. The nature themed wall art is on display in the Glen Helen Building’s main atrium, surrounded by impressive views of the Glen’s 1,000-acre nature preserve. All artwork is available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds goes to support the Glen Helen Ecology Institute.

Beautiful Christmas Cards with a Mission

I am blessed each year with a beautiful card from local artists Lance and Jean Rudegeair and this year it's all about the Black Footed Ferret. I treasure these cards for their beauty and the stories behind them. It's almost unbearable to realize how close to extinction these gorgeous animals were and how the few that are left in the wild are due to efforts by conservationists.
