Call to all dance enthusiasts
This weekend will be filled with lots of dancing opportunities---for both watchers and participants.
On Friday night, July 15, Jill Becker will present an improvised performance from 6:30-7 p.m. as part of Cirque Carnival in the ring at the intersection of Corry and Dayton Streets with dancers Tricia Gelmini and Elise Yaskoff (Yellow Springs) and Colleen Leonardi and Coco Loupe (Columbus). The dancers will explore movement structures or scores, akin to the rules of a game, along with musician Neal Kirkwood (New York) on accordion. Neal is in Yellow Springs as Musical Director of YSKP's The Cotton Club. All of the highly trained performers are life long improvisers. This will be the first time that they have worked together as a group. Magic could happen!!
