Appalachian Clogging at Art Park on Saturday

Dance Piazza! Presents Appalachian Clogging & Old Time Music with Rick Good & Friends

Saturday, Sept. 17, 7- 10 p.m.

Come to an outdoor international dance party! This event is free and open to all ages.

This is the last Dance Piazza of the season and will feature Rick Good & Friends, who will perform Old Time Music and teach Appalachian Clogging from 7-8 p.m. Rick Good is a founding member of the Hotmud Family and a twenty-four year veteran of Rhythm In Shoes.

From 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm DJ Juju will spin Latin dance tunes (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton), along with other world dance music including Afro-beat, Bhangra, Middle Eastern, club, old-school R & B and more...

From Mr. Good's website: "A founding member of the Hotmud Family, a twenty-four year veteran of Rhythm in Shoes and a 2010, Ohio Heritage Fellow, Rick Good is recognized and respected for his driving banjo, swinging guitar, heartfelt singing and crafty songwriting. With his wife and long-time collaborator, Sharon Leahy, Rick has made a life of creating critically acclaimed performance art, rooted in American traditions. He currently plays regularly with two fine bands: ShoeFly and the Red Clay Ramblers.”



Rhythm in Shoes cloggers Sharon Leahy, Emma Young, Gina Unverferth, Janet Schroeder, Tina DeAlderete, Becky Hill, Nate Cooper and Josh Fossitt dance to "Little Liza Jane." Played by Pete Sutherland (fiddle), Rick Good (banjo), Ben Cooper (guitar), Tom T. Ball (bass) and Kevin Anderson (drums). Choreographed by Sharon Leahy.
