We've Got Balls: Art Balls that is!

Original wacky art
is now available for a mere pittance in the ART BALL machine. Four Yellow Springs Jafa's (Corrine Bayraktaroglu, Nancy Mellon, Talitha Greene, Deb Housh) joined forces to bring you art in a ball. Keep your eyes peeled for the "Art Ball" machine outside Village Artisans for one day only, June 9th, Street Fair Day.

It will be available again Art Stroll night, June 15th for the Chamberpot Gallery's opening reception at the Train Station.

If you miss both chances, don't fret, the "Art Ball" machine has found a home in the Emporium after June 15th.

Each ball will contain a little piece of art and a little joke, quote, or some trivia.

Jamie Scott--Yellow Springs Arts Council Featured Artist

Twelve year old Jamie Scott is a rising artist in the Yellow Springs community. He recently participated in the Yellow Springs Library Second Annual Virginia Hamilton Youth Art Show: Folk Tales and Freedom Trails. Jamie's piece was selected for purchase to be included in the circulating art collection at the library. Any Greene County library card holder may check out his drawing, which was created with a computer drawing tablet in his signature anime style and depicts the evil witch Heckedy Peg from Audrey Wood's children's story of the same name. "Eco Art" Planting at Flower Art Stroll

As part of the April 27th flower themed gallery stroll, the Yellow Springs young family group, AKA "The YS Potluckers", gathered downtown to plant flowers at the bases of the Xenia Ave. trees.

The idea: Beauty is contagious. Plant flowers and everyone takes more pride and better care of our downtown.
